Iran has offered to assist Pakistan in overcoming its ongoing energy crisis by providing crude and furnace oil on a deferred payment basis until the Iran-Pakistan pipeline becomes operational.
This offer was made by the Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan, Mashaalah Shakeri, at his meeting with Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources Naveed Qamar.
According to sources, Iran and Pakistan will be signing a Guarantee Agreement which would make the Gas Sales Purchase Agreement effective to commence work on the gas pipeline.
