Asia’s first waste power plant inaugurated in Pakistan

Denmark envoy in Pakistan Uffe Wolffhechel has said that his country acknowledges Pakistan’s efforts against terrorism and added that soon an announcement would be made pertaining to the expansion of trade ties.

At the inauguration ceremony of the first waste power plant in Asia, here at Chakwal, the Denmark ambassador said, “Pakistan is an investment-friendly country. The people of Pakistan are hard working and humane, and because of a handful of terrorists any bad perception is not justified.”

The Denmark envoy said that his government was ready to provide technology and machinery for power plants producing electricity using wastes, solar energy and coal as fuel. Renowned industrialist, Raza Mansha said that the 10 megawatts waste power plant would produce cheap electricity. This would be enhanced to 32 megawatt in the next stage to supply electricity to the neighbourhood.
