Pakistan now a MoMo member

Pakistan has become the 100th member of a global community in the cellular industry called the Mobile Monday (MoMo). It consists of visionaries, developers and companies belonging to the telecom industry.

The idea of Mobile Monday originated in Helsinki, Finland, in 2000 at a meeting of key players in the telecom sector belonging to that country. Later the group decided to expand and new MoMo chapters were launched in Tokyo, Silicon Valley in the United States and Rome and Milan in Italy.
With the launch of MoMo’s 100th chapter in Islamabad, Pakistan has come into the global limelight. MoMo Global Founder and CEO, Jari Tammisto said, “Pakistan is a huge mobile market where there is much innovation the world should be aware of.”
He said Mobile Monday would benefit from Pakistan’s mobile community to connect with peers globally.
MoMo today is a hub of influential stakeholders of the telecom sector, fostering cooperation and cross border business developement through virtual and live networking events to share ideas, best practices and trends from global markets.
