Kamal Monnoo hails from a prominent business family and his is now the fifth generation in industry and trade. He sits on various corporate and public boards and is also the Honorary Consul General for the Czech Republic in Lahore. Having done his schooling from Aitchison College, he holds the following academic qualifications: Doctorate (ISM), MEP (SOM, Yale), MBA (Crummer), AB (Syracuse, A&S, Maxwell). His book, Understanding WTO was published by Ferozsons in 2011.
