102 killed in Iraq

On 10 May, Iraq suffered the worst attack this year when twin car bombs exploded at a factory followed by a suicide attack against emergency workers, and coordinated blasts targeting security personnel which left 102 killed and over 350 injured.

Detonated just a few minutes apart, the car bombs were the most powerful explosions that day at a textiles factory in the central city of Hilla. An hour later, a suicide bomber wearing a belt laden with explosives attacked an area populated with emergency service workers.
